So why place the balancer accurately at 10* ATC, why not just guess at it? I'm being facetious of course, I just don't like inaccuracy for the timing. The accuracy of a timing light used is gone, the timing is being set by guessing where to rotate the housing, and the shaft(the window opening). I don't like either way, because they rely on locating the housing and the shaft by eye, not an accurate measurement.
